Yes. I bring the grooming equipment I need and groom your cat in the comfort of their own home, helping to avoid the stress of travelling to an unfamiliar salon.
I'll need a suitable area in your home where your cat can't easily escape or hide, with enough space to set up my grooming table and equipment (it doesn't take up much room). If your cat is having a wet bath, I'll also need access to water. I ask that your cat is kept indoors beforeIi arrive and that there is somewhere safe and legal for me to park nearby.
That's absolutely fine. I take a calm, patient and cat-focused approach and will work at your cat's pace. Breaks can be taken where needed, and your cat's comfort and welfare will always come first. I will only carry out as much of the groom as your cat is comfortable with on the day.
Your cat's welfare will always come first. I constantly look out for stress signals and if they become too stressed, I can give them breaks and adjust the groom to suit what they are comfortable with. If continuing would cause too much stress, I may recommend stopping the groom and, where appropriate, completing it over a separate session.
The prices shown are starting prices. The final price will depend on your cat's coat type and condition, temperament and individual grooming requirements. When booking, please give me as much information as possible about your cat and their coat, and I may ask you to send some photos. This will help me give you an idea of the likely cost before your appointment, with the final price confirmed once I have seen and assessed your cat.
Yes. As a mobile service, mileage is charged at 55p per mile for the journey to and from your appointment, calculated from Abbey Field, Colchester. This helps towards the cost of travelling to you, including fuel, vehicle running costs and the time spent travelling between appointments. I'll let you know the travel cost when booking so you know exactly what to expect before your appointment.
Yes, depending on the severity of the matting and what your cat is comfortable with. I'll assess the coat and choose the kindest and safest approach for your cat. In some cases, clipping may be more appropriate than trying to brush out tight matting, as this can be uncomfortable and stressful. If the matting is particularly severe or I can feel it cannot be safely removed during a grooming appointment, I may recommend veterinary treatment instead.
Not necessarily. Most cat's don't need regular wet baths, so my standard full grooms include dry shampoo rather than a wet bath. A wet bath and dry can be added where appropriate for an additional £30. If you're unsure whether your cat would benefit from one, we can discuss this when booking.
Wet bathing is included as part of my Sphynx Package, as hairless breeds have different grooming needs.
This will depend on your cat's coat type, lifestyle and individual grooming needs. For cats that benefit from regular professional grooming, I would usually recommend appointments around every 6-12 weeks to help keep on top of shedding, knots and general coat condition.
Regular brushing at home between appointments is still important, particularly for long haired cats. I'm always happy to advise you on what equipment to use so you can have a routine at home for your cat.
I understand that sometimes plans change, so please give me as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. My cancellation policy varies depending on how much notice is given, and your booking fee may be non-refundable or non-transferable for late cancellations. Full details will be provided when booking and can be found in my Terms & Conditions.
To book an appointment or ask about which groom would be most suitable for your cat, please get in touch by phone(call, text or WhatsApp), email or through my social pages. When contacting me, please tell me a little about your cat, their breed and coat condition and the service you're interested in. I may also ask you to send me some photos so I can get a better idea of their grooming needs before your appointment.
A booking fee is required to secure your appointment and is normally paid by bank transfer. If you would prefer to pay the booking fee in cash, this can be arranged with me in advance.
The remaining balance is due at the end of the grooming appointment and can be paid by cash or bank transfer.
